Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced HR Adviser with a successful track record as an HR practitioner in a complex environment. You should have a strong understanding of employee engagement, employment law, and experience working in a unionized environment. You should also be committed to implementing equality and diversity policies and have a proactive, customer-centric approach.
What the Job Involves
The role involves providing professional HR advice across all council directorates, leading on service plan areas and projects, and supporting the improvement of people management quality. You will act as the Council’s HR advisory expert, maintain constructive relationships with trade unions, manage complex caseloads, provide advice on organizational changes, and support policy development. You will also design and deliver HR training, analyze HR issues for senior managers, and participate in the continuous review of the People Management Strategy.
