Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced children's social care leader who can demonstrate significant management experience within statutory children's social care. You should possess strong safeguarding expertise, experience of managing Team Managers, and strong knowledge of children's social care legislation. Experience in performance management, quality assurance, and working with children with disabilities is essential.
What the job involves
The role involves providing leadership within the Family Help Service during a period of transformation. You will lead a portfolio comprising two Family Help Teams, the Children with Disabilities Team, and the Occupational Therapy Team. Responsibilities include operational oversight, strategic leadership, performance management, and practice improvement to ensure positive outcomes for children and families. The job entails supervising and supporting Team Managers, ensuring effective oversight of assessments and proceedings, driving service performance, promoting relationship-based practice, and developing partnerships with key stakeholders.
