Who You Are

You are an experienced Diagnostic Surveyor with a strong understanding of building regulations, relevant legislation, and repair responsibilities related to tenancy agreements. You possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to produce technical reports and present findings effectively. Your role involves managing cases related to building defects, subsidence, and structural failures, and you are comfortable working with external consultants and various stakeholders.

What the job involves

As a Diagnostic Surveyor, your primary function is to handle repair issue cases by diagnosing causes and arranging necessary works. You will conduct building inspections, prepare and present technical reports, manage cases involving subsidence and structural failures, and assist in policy development for the Repairs Service. The role also includes ensuring quality assurance, maintaining electronic records, obtaining quotations and tenders, and overseeing project budgets. You will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, attend meetings, and provide high-quality service in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures.
