What the Job Involves
The Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) role is part of the Lewisham Sensory Teachers Team, focused on delivering specialist teaching, advice, and support to children and young people from birth to 25 years old. You will conduct specialist assessments and planning, provide tailored teaching, and offer advisory services. Key responsibilities include delivering learning programs, training staff, supporting families, maintaining records, and monitoring audiological equipment. You will contribute to EHCP needs assessments and reports, follow council policies, and adhere to legislation impacting your work.
