Who You Are

A Placement Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with policies related to the placements of children and young people, managing the accommodation and care packages for them, and maintaining high-quality planning and placements for Lewisham’s looked after children.

What the job involves

• Ensuring the Council’s policies and contracting requirements for child placements are followed.
• Providing placement services through collaboration with various teams and agencies.
• Contributing to planning, monitoring, and evaluating placements and services for children.
• Liaising with providers and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conducting quality assurance and providing professional advice regarding services.
