Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of recent experience in a UK local authority conducting food hygiene inspections. EHRB registration (or equivalent) and demonstrated competency under the Food Law Code of Practice are essential. You should have a minimum of 20 hours of CPD over the past 2 years and be qualified to carry out food standards inspections. A degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health is required.
What the job involves
Lewisham Council is seeking experienced Environmental Health Officers to join our Food Safety team. You will conduct food hygiene inspections in line with the Food Law Code of Practice, provide expert advice and education to businesses and residents, and maintain accurate records of inspections. This role involves working independently and managing a varied caseload.
