You have a thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014, social work theories, and issues related to people with care and support needs. You demonstrate core behaviors such as effective communication, people focus, results orientation, ownership, and collaboration.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker for the London Borough of Lambeth, you will promote positive change in people's lives, helping them achieve independence and manage risks of abuse and neglect. You will carry out needs assessments, develop and review care and support plans, conduct safeguarding enquiries, and support adults with care needs and their carers. You will also work on complex cases, applying legislation and policies, collaborating across networks, and potentially attending court as a witness.
