You are a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, with a strong knowledge of child protection legislation. You possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage a fast-paced caseload. You are analytical and capable of making sound decisions, even under pressure. Your approach is collaborative, working effectively with both families and multi-agency professionals.
What the Job Involves
The role involves conducting thorough and timely assessments of children and families referred to the Assessment Team, ensuring their protection and welfare. You'll undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, developing evidence-based recommendations to enhance children’s safety. Hands-on work with children and families is crucial to identifying strengths and necessary interventions, and formulating outcome-focused plans in collaboration with them. Participation in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings is required, as is maintaining detailed and high-quality case records. All practices must comply with relevant legislation and safeguarding guidelines.
