We are looking for a dedicated and experienced social worker who is passionate about safeguarding and protecting adults. You should have a strong commitment to applying legislation, policy, and best practices to ensure the well-being and safety of those in need. You will bring a blend of professional expertise and empathy to your work, maintaining autonomy and displaying sound professional judgment.
What the Job Involves
Your role will include leading and coordinating safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014 and managing a diverse and complex caseload. You will triage new concerns as part of the Duty Rota, undertake strengths-based assessments, and develop outcome-focused support plans. Additionally, you will complete Mental Capacity Assessments and hold Making Safeguarding Personal conversations to guide risk planning and outcomes. Collaboration with health partners, police, care providers, and voluntary organisations is a key component of the job, as is providing professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies.
Skills
- Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
- Experience in adult safeguarding or similar statutory adult services
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
- Confidence in managing risk and making evidence-based decisions
- Ability to work flexibly, proactively, and as part of a supportive team
