Who You Are
You are a skilled and experienced occupational therapist with a professional qualification recognized by the HCPC. You are capable of working autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team. You are committed to delivering high-quality services to individuals with complex health conditions and collaborating effectively with their carers.
What the Job Involves
As part of the HASS Cranbrook and Loxford team, you will manage a case load of approximately four cases per week, including both standard and complex cases. Your role will involve conducting holistic, person-centred assessments, creating support plans, and reviewing the needs of individuals with various health conditions. You will make recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, prepare sketches and specifications for major works, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. Additionally, you will contribute to duty tasks as part of the OT profession and collaborate with a locality-based team within an integrated community health and adult social care service.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge and experience in assessing and recommending major adaptations and complex equipment
- Ability to prepare sketches, read plans, and provide detailed specifications for major works
- Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Understanding of legal social care framework and housing legislation
- Ability to manage, plan, prioritize, and progress complex OT cases autonomously
