Who You Are

You are an experienced PMO leader or large-scale programme manager with a strong background in governance, assurance, and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in structured environments that demand good methodologies and rigour and are passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams. You are capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on delivery support and are driven to make a difference by leading transformation and change within a dynamic city experiencing economic growth and preparing for local government reorganization.

What the Job Involves

As a strategic leader, you will head the Corporate Programme Management Office (CPMO), offering governance and strategic oversight across diverse capital and transformation programmes. You will support project and programme managers in effectively delivering complex initiatives and build a strong community of project and programme managers. You will drive the adoption of new methodologies and ensure best practices are embedded while providing robust reporting and assurance to senior leadership and elected members. Your key responsibilities will also include acting as a professional advisor to the Chief Executive, Directors, and senior managers, ensuring equality and better outcomes for citizens, and promoting environmental sustainability within council operations.
