As a Social Worker in Adult Services, you are empathetic, sensitive, and self-aware, with a strong acceptance of others. You have a recognized Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Work England. Your background includes multidisciplinary social care experience and partnership working with various agencies. You're capable of prioritizing workloads, embracing change, and handling difficult situations. Access to and use of a vehicle is essential, and you speak fluent English as per the Immigration Act 2016 requirements.
What the Job Involves
The role requires undertaking assessments of risk and care needs for service users and carers. You'll manage a caseload, respond to referrals, and conduct ongoing risk assessments. Key duties include statutory reviews, developing care plans, and working effectively with other professionals. The ability to negotiate, manage crises, and prepare reports is crucial. You will maintain client records and facilitate services that align with legislative policies. Engaging with multi-agency teams, supporting carers, and promoting equality and diversity are also vital responsibilities.
