We are seeking an experienced planning enforcement contractor capable of addressing complex and high-profile breaches of legislation. You should be adept at working across traditional boundaries, using available resources to enforce compliance, and committed to fostering fairness, growth, sustainability, and strong communities.
What the Job Involves
The role involves investigating and resolving significant breaches of planning and environmental law, working on a project basis or as part of a multi-agency task force. The position requires collaboration with other Council Services, the Police, and regulatory bodies. You will assist in achieving the objectives of the Pollution Control, Planning, and Licensing Enforcement Action Plan. Providing a specific point of contact for your geographical area, you'll coordinate and resolve complaints, give leadership on enforcement appeals, and effectively communicate with stakeholders and elected members.
