Who You Are
You are a responsible and safety-conscious driver ready to undertake the driving and operation of ancillary equipment for Passenger Services. You are committed to meeting customer specifications within legal and cost constraints and take responsibility for delivering services while ensuring health and safety compliance.
What the Job Involves
The role involves driving or acting as an attendant on Passenger Services vehicles, transporting passengers, post, or packages. You will be accountable for the vehicle's condition and the safety of all passengers during service routes. Ensuring vehicles meet legal conditions and are fit for purpose through a pre-use vehicle check and nil defect reporting is vital. You must comply with legal requirements related to vehicle roadworthiness, drivers' hours, and the working time directive. Driving courteously and safely, considering the needs of passengers and goods, is essential.
Skills
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- 35 hours per week availability on split shifts
- Current license with D Category entitlement
- Current Driver Card (Tacho card)
- Current CPC Card
- Ability to ensure vehicle safety and legal compliance
- Strong attention to detail in vehicle checks
- Excellent driving and safety awareness
