Who You Are
The Senior Social Worker (Adult Mental Health) will join the Lewisham Adult Mental Health service, integrated with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). You will be based at The Ladywell Unit, University Hospital Lewisham, and perform duties within the community. You will act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager for two integrated mental health teams and may serve as an Enquiry Officer on complex cases when needed. You will work as an expert social worker on challenging and complex adult mental health cases.

You will be responsible for acting as a Safeguarding Adults Manager, working with integrated teams to ensure high-quality care and intervention strategies. Your contribution will involve providing advice, mentorship, and innovative solutions to the team, with a focus on enhancing practice standards and service performance.
Skills
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Minimum 2 years' senior experience in Mental Health Social Work
- Expert knowledge of The Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Ability to analyse data and formulate intervention plans
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to offer advice and support, and mentor social workers
- Skill in producing clear and literate reports
- Proficiency in building strong working relationships
- Competence in generating and implementing action plans
